The Challenge

Brightpearl is the leading ecommerce platform for streamlining and automating inventory management, order management, warehousing, fulfillment, shipping, purchasing, accounting, and retail BI.

In November 2019, Brightpearl asked accelerate agency to help it with three objectives:

  1. Improve its SEO position through the acquisition of high authority links to its website
  2. Attract traffic from its core customer base throughout all phases of the sales funnel
  3. Improve the technical SEO of brightpearl.com

Insights

Following discussions with Brightpearl, we agreed the first priority was to acquire new links from high authority domains.

We also looked at other easy to optimize Brightpearl’s content. After running a series of audits, we identified several core pages that needed improved optimization, and drew up a new list of keywords to target audiences at different levels of the sales funnel.

We also determined that the content management system Brightpearl was using was holding back its SEO performance. We recommended migrating brightpearl.com to WordPress to have access to more technical SEO solutions.

The Solution

After prioritizing new high authority links, the outreach team launched a campaign targeting relevant, high authority domains. Since the start of our work with Brightpearl,

1,216 quality links have been secured. The most notable of these are:

After helping Brightpearl refine its keyword strategy and optimize its onsite content, the decision was made to migrate brightpearl.com to WordPress in January 2021. This was a complicated process, as brightpearl.com had over 600 pages of published content, but the advantages the new content management system provided were substantial.

On the top of that, over 100 new pages of content were produced.

The Results

Thanks to the outreach team securing high-authority links, and the successful site migration, Brightpearl’s global non-branded traffic has risen by 1,500% since starting work with accelerate agency. During the same period, global monthly traffic value has increased by 700%.

With the new WordPress CMS, the accelerate team was able to better optimize brightpearl.com’s speed, meta data, and site architecture. Although this process was difficult, it provided a substantial return on investment. During the six months following the site migration, the value of Brightpearl’s global non-branded traffic tripled.
